This route runs from the tea-covered hills of Munnar down through the spice country of Thekkady to a full day and night on a private houseboat in the Alleppey backwaters, then finishes with the evening temple rituals of Madurai. Slow travel by design, with only one or two destinations per leg.

Morning boat ride on Periyar Lake, then drive to Alleppey and board your private houseboat for the night.
A full day cruising the backwaters at houseboat pace, past paddy fields and canal-side villages, with meals cooked on board.
Disembark and drive to Madurai. Evening aarti ceremony at the Meenakshi Amman Temple.
Morning temple visit, then transfer to the airport or station for your onward journey.
