Delhi, Agra and Jaipur cover the classic ground, but we route this one through Ranthambore National Park between Agra and Jaipur so the trip is not just forts and palaces back to back. Two safari drives, a sunrise at the Taj, and an evening jeep ride up to Amber Fort.
Day by day
Arrive Delhi
Airport pickup and check-in. Afternoon orientation drive past India Gate and Humayun's Tomb, then an evening food walk through Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk.
Delhi to Agra
Morning drive to Agra. Afternoon at Agra Fort, then sunset views of the Taj Mahal from across the river at Mehtab Bagh.
Agra to Ranthambore
Sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal before the crowds, then the drive on to Ranthambore. Evening free to settle in near the park.
Ranthambore National Park
Two jeep safaris today, one at dawn and one in the late afternoon, tracking tiger, deer and crocodile through the park.
Ranthambore to Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur. Evening free to wander Bapu Bazaar for textiles and jewellery.
Jaipur
Morning at Amber Fort, arriving by jeep up the hill. Afternoon at the City Palace and Jantar Mantar observatory, with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal.
Jaipur to Delhi, departure
Morning free for last-minute shopping, then the drive back to Delhi for your onward flight.
